Joy

Before the Relief Society General broadcast, our stake had a dinner and speaker. The theme was in finding joy in our lives, and remembering that Heavenly Father has a plan of happiness for us. I really needed to hear this because I am such a worrier. I have a lot of things to be thankful for and a lot of joy in my life.

This is a picture of pure joy to me. This is Brielle when she stayed at our house a couple of months ago while D&B went on a little vacation. This colorful pic is my wallpaper on my computer and it makes me smile every time I look at it.

Just spreadin' some joy (you smiled...didn't ya!)

The King

For our birthdays, the kids got us tickets to see Lion King. The day finally arrived, and we were so excited.

(Yes, I'm wearing my zebra shirt to go see Lion King. It was a conscience decision.)

We had a great time. It is an amazing show. We've seen a few other broadway productions, and the music, acting, and stage are always so creative. In this show, the way they use the puppets combined with the person to create the character was completely captivating. For example, you didn't see Scar and a mask, you just saw Scar. In one scene, after Scar has taken over the Pride Lands, there is a scene where they depict the water and the lands drying up. It was so cool how they showed the water on the stage, getting smaller and smaller until it was gone. The kids that played Simba and Nala were SO good. I could go on and on because it was so fun. Thanks kids.
