OLD

Logan is a pretty funny guy. He keeps us laughing all the time! It was my birthday this week, and he was in charge of putting the candles on the cake. He very carefully put the candles on, and then set the cake aside. I should have known that he was up to something because he was being so calm and quiet about it. When Kenny and Logan sang happy birthday, Logan brought the cake over, and you can see what the candles spelled!! 45 is not old!

Puppy Update

We were so excited early last Saturday afternoon when we counted 10 puppies. But I posted the blog too soon! Number 11 arrived just after I posted the first pictures, and then I have been so busy I haven't had time to update. We have 11 puppies, 7 girls and 4 boys. So far all are doing pretty well. The pics are of Bre and Logan with the puppies last weekend, and Kenny holding the biggest and the littlest pup.

PUPPIES!!!

The puppies are finally here! The first puppy arrived Friday night about 9:00 p.m. By 4:00 a.m., there were 6. By 6:00 a.m. there were 7. By Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. we were still at 7 and were getting a little worried, but shortly after 11:00 a.m., number 8 arrived with a cute brown spot on her side. We were so excited and we thought we were done, but no. Akira still had a couple more in the oven. The last 2 arrived by 2:00 p.m. Akira is a cute mother and did a great job. All of the puppies seem to be doing fine, but we hope that she will be able to feed so many. We will have to watch to make sure they all thrive. We don't have a count yet on how many girls, and how many boys; I'll post that later.

Days are Too Short!

It seems like each days goes by so quickly and I haven't had any time to post something new. Not much to tell....just work and school. Thank goodness for Kenny. He has totally taken over everything in the house so that I can concentrate on school. Thank goodness this class will be over in one week and then I'm going to take the summer off. I have grand plans. We will see how much I accomplish. I just got back from Alabama for work. I've never been to Alabama before and didn't really see anything except a lot of trees! Oh well, another state to add to my list of states I've visited.

Puppy update...they are getting bigger and cuter. But bigger also means bigger messes to clean up. We've posted an ad on ksl.com, but haven't gotten any responses. I sure hope we can sell them. They are cute, but I don't want to keep 'em!

Go Jazz!

We enjoy going to the Jazz games. In fact, we are Jazz jersey nerds....Kenny, Logan and I each have one that we wear when we go to the games. In February, I nominated Kenny for the True Blue Jazz Fan, and he won. He had so much fun picking the re-runs for the superscreen! Well, we decided to buy tickets to the Jazz vs. Spurs game last Friday. What a fun game! We had a great time. The Jazz kept it close the first half, and then blew the Spurs out in the second half. The best part was spending time with the whole family.

Dogs, dogs, dogs.....

Ok, so the thing that is totally consuming Kenny and Logan these days are the impending puppies. Yes, our sweet Akira is about to give birth any day. We took her to the vet last week for an x-ray and counted 8 puppy skulls. The vet says there might be 9.

Anyway, when puppies are on their way, apparently you must build stuff. I had no idea that having puppies involved so much wood and power tools! Kenny has built a whelping box (it is a castle for puppy birthing) and a box to fence Akira in the garage because she must leave the doggie duplex when she gives birth. Budda, will continue to live outside in the doggie duplex, while Akira spends a couple of months living in the garage. Akira is sweet and it will be fun to see the puppies when they come. I'm just a little scared about how much work they will be once they get 4 or 5 weeks old.

The AggieFam Blog is Born!

Bre started a blog, and even though I haven't done this before I have enjoyed reading her's (all 3 entries). I think blogging is something that I want to try, but I worry that I don't have anything clever to say. I do have a great family, so I guess this will be my family bragging blog. Oh, and if I do good on a test at school, I'll probably brag about that too.
