The King

For our birthdays, the kids got us tickets to see Lion King. The day finally arrived, and we were so excited.

(Yes, I'm wearing my zebra shirt to go see Lion King. It was a conscience decision.)

We had a great time. It is an amazing show. We've seen a few other broadway productions, and the music, acting, and stage are always so creative. In this show, the way they use the puppets combined with the person to create the character was completely captivating. For example, you didn't see Scar and a mask, you just saw Scar. In one scene, after Scar has taken over the Pride Lands, there is a scene where they depict the water and the lands drying up. It was so cool how they showed the water on the stage, getting smaller and smaller until it was gone. The kids that played Simba and Nala were SO good. I could go on and on because it was so fun. Thanks kids.

How fun! I love the zebra shirt. I'm glad you updated your blog. I still have your birthday present sitting on my china cabinet. It's all dusty now. Maybe I'll have to give it to you for Christmas. I'm a slacker. Hope you had fun.
